Greyscale was shaped by years spent fishing and the understanding that no two fish are the same, their detail, their markings, their character. Inspired by the Japanese art of Gyotaku, the process focuses on capturing each fish exactly as it is, without overworking or losing what makes it unique.

greyscale - the story

Starting with a photo, Greyscale locks in scale, proportion and detail from the very beginning. From there, each image is worked at a pixel level—refining edges, isolating features, and bringing out the natural patterns and structure of the fish. Every line, mark, contour and curve is considered to keep the final piece true to form. The process finishes in art production, where the design is prepared for a quality final piece you will proudly display in your home.
